The Fixed Gear Coren is the result of the collaboration between the Munich based designer Christian Zanzotti and the lightweight development company ubc from Stuttgart.
Zanzotti was approached by the producer with the task to create a concept vehicle that represents their expertise and technological lead to process carbon fiber. The designer’s outcome was the idea of a modern and technologically advanced Fixed Gear. A bicycle offering the advantage of simplicity compared with the standard multi-geared bicycle. The center part of the Coren is the handmade frame composed of high tensile strength T1000 carbon fibers, which are normally used in Formula 1 monocoques. Innovative for the bicycle sector are the extremely slim sections of the top and down tubes lending the bicycle a unique look and visual lightness.
